New Gas Oil Legislation
From the 1st January 2011 a new European directive will apply to the grade of gasoil that can be used in non-road mobile machinery.
From this date, you will not be allowed to use gasoil with a sulphur content that is higher than 10ppm (parts per million) in any off-road vehicles.
Emo Oil have been supplying the alternative replacements since 15th November 2010 to ensure that customer�s tanks are turned around in time for the changes in January 2011.
The changes require customers to improve their housekeeping arrangements and remove water from tanks, as traces of biodiesel (found in low sulphur gasoil) can lead to contamination when mixed with water.
